In the summer of 2015 the Shanghai Flying Dragon Steel Ltd. was founded. The goal of the company is to support our existing European customers in China and to expand our trading network.
In order to integrate the missing link in our supply chain and to have a full backwards integration, the Nanxiong Flying Dragon Forestry Dev. Ltd. was founded. In a scientifically monitored management cycle, coniferous forests are re-forested for resin production.
To strengthen the position in the market and to have a solid backwards integration, the gum rosin factory Beiliu Hengli Pine Chemical Ltd. was aquired in 2007.
In 2006 the Petrofer Group expanded to China: The trading plattform Guangzhou Flying Dragon Chemical Ltd. was opened in the Guangdong province, to strengthen the trading activities in this important market.
After 37 years of leading Petrofer, Rolf Eberenz handed the leadership of the company to his youngest son, Bruno Eberenz.
With the construction of its own office building in Reinach in 1992, another milestone was set. The new offices were designed to meet the increased needs appropriately and provide the company Petrofer a pleasant and contemporary home.
In 1987 a German subsidiary, Rudolph & Partner, was founded for better market-positioning in Europe, especially for steel trading in Germany. The company name was later changed to Petrofer GmbH Heilbronn.
In 1979 Bruno Eberenz, the youngest son of the founder, joined the company.
In 1972 Petrofer moved from down-town Basel to the suburb Reinach.
